Regarding VM Detection

The VM detection check does not apply to the following cases:

>Checked out commuter license tokens

>Checked out repository license tokens

>Grace license tokens when being used on non-networked computers

This implies that under these scenarios the license tokens can be used over virtual machines even if you have denied the license use. Nevertheless, we still recommend using CPU info along with any reliable locking criteria.

* The kstat library (libkstat.so) is required on the target system to support VM detection.

** CPU info locking cannot be supported on VMs in user mode. For example, in Windows, if QEMU and KVM are used in “user mode” then the emulator provides incomplete information. So, we recommend using these in full virtualization mode to support CPU info locking.
